Short midweek report 34

(We are still alive)

Sniffy bushes

Review: School has started for the kids, so we are now back in a ‘normal’ routine in the mornings; out to pee around 7:30, and a longer walk an hour later. We do play and a good training session around midmorning – and then I try to throw him onto the rest of the family in the afternoon. Late afternoon is naptime, but the hypervigilance we were warned about for the start of the castration chip seems to be in full effect. I didn’t think it was possible for him to get worse in that area – but he actually jumps up from his sleep if I so much as move in my chair… I’m sincerely hoping we are at the lowest point right now (two weeks almost to the day), and that stuff will improve shortly.

Attention!

Heeling and Sits – practice, practice, practice. Steady improvement, both in focus, synchronisation and posture.

Still minor confusion with the Wrap/Counter cues. The first is a clockwise movement around an object, the second counter clockwise. I’d love to get this in place, to help him untangle himself when he takes his tether for a walk around the trees in the garden…
